RESTORE

Recultivation of pits and quarries in North-West Europe. For biodiversity, quality of life and the economy.

With the Interreg project RESTORE, seven partners in North-West Europe are engaged in the recultivation of former and still functional mineral extraction sites, such as gravel, sand and marl pits as nature reserves and recreational areas. The project grew out of collaboration in the network of European peri-urban regions known as PURPLE (Peri-Urban Regions Platform Europe).
